Perfect pins: Julia Roberts showed off her amazing legs as she posed with co-star Javier Bardem at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain


Julia Roberts showed off her incredibly long legs in a tiny dress as she promoted new movie Eat, Pray, Love in Spain today.

The 42-year-old actress appeared to taken inspiration from fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow in the outfit as she arrived at the 58th San Sebastian Film Festival wearing a tiny black dress and a tailored blazer teamed with a pair of snakeskin heels.

And while most women of her age would steer away from such revealing outfits, Roberts seemed happy to display her enviable pins as she posed with co-stars including Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins.

Roberts is in Spain to promote her new movie but also to pick up the festival's Donostia lifetime achievement award, previous winners of which have included Woody Allen and Ian McKellan.

The mother-of-two spoke recently about her role in the film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's famous memoir, and admitted one of the things she enjoyed the most was the 'eat' part of the film's title.

She said: 'In Italy, I mean, really I have to say, they did go to great elaborate pains to make food that I had to eat endlessly in the heat. So there was this one plate of pasta that was - all other circumstances removed - delicious pasta. It was simple spaghetti. It was delicious.'

But while Julia may have enjoyed filming the movie, her critics have not been so kind.

After promoting Eat, Pray, Love in Italy, the Italian newspapers scoffing at its romantic vision of an American woman's voyage of self-discovery in Rome.

'The only thing missing in Julia's Rome is the mandolin,' the daily La Repubblica wrote on Saturday.

'It rains spaghetti, the Italians are always gesticulating and following foreign girls shouting vulgarities but then getting engaged to a nice housewife to please their domineering mothers.'

However, the negative reviews are unlikely to affect Roberts, who has been enjoyed immense success of late.

As well as her acting career, she has also been signed up as the face of make-up brand Lancome.

And it was recently reported she is on the verge of signing a new deal with the cosmetics company for a further five years, which will earn her close to £32 million.
