Burning desire: Keira Knightley took time out at a dinner with friends at Rick Stein's The Seafood restaurant in Padstow to have a smoke outside
She's the beautiful British star who comports herself with sophistication and elegance in multi-million pound movies and high-end adverts for the likes of Chanel.
But it seems Keira Knightley is just a normal person sometimes on a night out.
The sought-after 25-year-old A-lister was indulging in strictly un-A-list behaviour when she was spotted having a cigarette outside a restaurant.
Like most mere mortals with a yearning for nicotine, she was forced to light up on the pavement outside with the general public.
The normally glamorous star had been dining at Rick Stein's The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall, on Friday night when she got the urge for a post-prandial puff.
Perhaps it's because the star is more nervy of late and needs a calming ciggy.
She was left shaken earlier this month when her London home was ransacked by burglars.
Lighting up the night: The movie beauty cupped the cigarette in her hand at one point as she joked with her pals
The Atonement star's £1.3million central London flat was broken into by thieves, who went through her belongings and stole two laptops worth £2,000.
Detectives are concerned the thieves may try to sell personal contents from the computers.
The Oscar nominated actress was on holiday at the time of the break-in, taking time out from her hectic schedule.
Something fishy: Keira and her chums were having supper at the celebrity chef's flagship fine dining restaurant in the pretty Cornish town when they braved the chilly weather for a nicotine hit
She has three movies coming out soon, including Last Night, starring Sam Worthington and Eva Mendes; Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield; and London Boulevard, starring Colin Farrell, Anna Friel and Ray Winstone.
The busy star is also being courted by Batman director Christopher Nolan to star The Dark Knight Rises and she's also being tipped to play Diana Princess Of Wales in a new biopic about the tragic royal.
Producers at film company Pathe are also keen to secure Dame Helen Mirren, 65, to play her mother, Frances Shand Kydd.
Polished: The star as we're more used to seeing her, snapped her at a screening of her 2008 movie The Duchess
The movie is to be released next year to coincide with what would have been the Princess’s 50th birthday.
We imagine Keira will be hoping neither of those projects go up in smoke...
