'Allo 'Allo ist das Herr Flick? Catherine Zeta Jones goes military chic

Looking more like a commander in the secret police than a busy working mum, Catherine Zeta Jones marched her nine-year-old daughter Carys to school this morning.

The stunning actress donned the harsh looking black get-up as she strolled the streets of New York after making the early morning school run.

Dressed in black leggings, black tall boots and a black belted jacket paired with a matching brimmed cap and black leather gloves, the 41-year-old star looked like a character out of a war movie.

Maybe the stars dark attire is representative of her current mood.

No one would blame her for feeling a little dark after the ordeal she has been through this past year.

Catherine's husband of ten years, Michael Douglas has been battling throat cancer since August.

The 66-year-old two time Oscar winner has been given an 80% recovery rate and expected to be given the all clear in the new year.

The actor is feeling so positive about the success of his treatment that he has already announced his return to work in the spring.

Douglas has signed on to play Liberace in the Steven Soderbergh directed biopic about the infamous pianist.

Catherine will also return to work in the new year filming Dali alongside Antonio Banderas.

The film will be a chronicle of the life of the famous serealist painter and Catehrine is set to play his wife Gala.

The film is set to shoot in the UK ans in Spain and is set for a 2012 release.
