Up against it: Schumacher rammed Barrichello towards the pit wall at 190mph

Rubens Barrichello last night said he is lucky to be alive after Michael Schumacher tried to ram him against the pit wall at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Schumacher's callous move came as the pair duelled at 190mph on the straight.
Barrichello vented his fury over the team radio. 'Horrible,' he screamed. 'He should be black-flagged.'

The Brazilian later added: 'I am lucky to be here. Thank God the wall ended when it did because there was only a hair's breadth between my wheels and the wall.'

Schumacher was called to explain his dangerous driving to the stewards, who imposed a 10-place grid penalty on him for the Belgian Grand Prix on August 29

Underfire: Barrichello was furious with Schumacher's move during the latter stages of the Hungarian Grand Prix

Asked if he would speak to Schumacher, Barrichello, 38, said: 'You know Michael - you talk to him and he will always feel that he is right. He has been out of the sport for three years and he is still the same guy.'

Ex-F1 driver Anthony Davidson, now a pundit on BBC Radio 5 Live, said: 'It could have been lethal.'
