A survivor: Sandra talks to Matt Lauer on the Today Show about her amazing friends and little Louis

Sandra Bullock has revealed the close network of friends who helped her keep the adoption of her baby under wraps.

'It takes good people with integrity,' she said, describing her eight-month-old boy as her 'Little Cajun Cookie'.

'I remember, I read something like "How did someone keep a secret?” and it’s - human beings exist that have integrity, that know how to keep their mouth shut - that know the picture, that don’t sell out their friends.'

Stunning: Sandra looks better than ever on her first official TV interview since splitting with Jesse James

The Oscar-winning actress was giving her first official TV interview today since discovering husband Jesse James was cheating on her.

And she opened up about her feelings for the friends who helped her get through the difficult time.

She insists that if a friend ever betrayed her, she wouldn't hesitate to cut them out of her life.

'They know if they screw up they’re not coming on the next vacation, I’m not going to baby-sit their kids. I will cut them, I will take them down,' she told Today host Matt Lauer.

Feeling low? Sandra Bullock leaves a Starbucks in Austin on Sunday looking down and out

But the 46-year-old cut a somewhat lonely figure on Sunday as she left a local Starbucks

The actress was no doubt aware that ex-husband Jesse James had brought new girlfriend Kat Von D on a weekend trip to Austin, where both Sandra and Jesse live.

Seemingly putting her smiley disposition on ice, the American actress played it casual in turn-up denim shorts, flip flops and a striped top.

She was in New Orleans over the weekend to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and to see the progress made in the stricken city since the natural 2005 disaster.

However, her recent divorce from her cheating ex-husband Jesse James is surely not far from her mind - especially as he is flaunting his relationship in front of her.

James was also pictured yesterday in Austin, making no secret of his new relationship with LA Ink star Kat Von D as they strolled hand in hand down the street together.

Oscar-winning actress Bullock, 46, had visited the New Orleans high school that she helped rebuild for the opening of an on-campus health clinic.

Looking stylish in a fitted navy dress, towering peep-toe heels and sleek hair pulled to one side, the beaming star spoke of the 'unimaginable kindness, perseverance and hope' she had seen at Warren Easton Charter High School, which was swamped by the fierce storm.

Single mother: Sandra with her adopted baby Louis back in July in Austin, Texas

Bullock - who hugged staff and cracked jokes with reporters - has a special place in her heart for New Orleans.

Her adopted eight-month-old son Louis was born there and she has bought a home in the city so he can stay close to his roots.

In a sit-down interview with Matt Lauer, set to air on Tuesday on the Today show, she revealed she calls her son her 'little Cajun cookie'.

Reflecting on the 'long, long process' of officially adopting the baby Bullock added that the tot 'was always mine'.

'It wasn't like I felt someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, "I think you're a fit parent,"' she added.

As for how she kept the adoption a secret, Bullock credits her friends and family who 'are filled [with] massive amounts of integrity' and who, even when things get bad, are 'still the same friends.'
