Jennifer Garner's cheeky daughter Seraphina monkeys around at the playground

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Cute as a button: Jennifer Garner enjoys some bonding time with her daughter Seraphina in Santa Monica

Alias star Jennifer Garner is know as action girl and it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Her youngest daughter, Seraphina, 21 months, was swinging gamely on the monkey bars and hanging from the climbing frame while on a playdate with her mother in Santa Monica.

Seraphina looked very pretty in a pink top with a coordinating pink hair clip and a tiny pink striped handbag.

But the little girl's favourite accessory was her doll, which she carried around with her after her fun on the equipment.

Meanwhile Jennifer, 38, was looking every inch the normal, playful mother in jeans, plain navy trainers and a cosy beige cardigan.

The Garner household is currently gearing up for Halloween, with Seraphina apparently keen on an animal-themed costume.

'It seems like every time we ask her, it's a different farm animal,' Garner recently told People Magazine.

Violet, four, has a 'very clear idea' of her costume, but, says Jennifer, 'it's contingent upon my younger daughter.

'Costumes are not ready in my house. Now, I'm realising I need to at least get the orders in.'

There was no sign of husband Ben Affleck, as he is busy promoting his new movie The Town.

Jennifer has been hard at work too lately.

She has been busy filming new comedy remake Arthur with Russell Brand and Helen Mirren.

She recently talked about the challenges of motherhood, saying: 'No matter what, it is very tricky and difficult – just to be a good parent at all,' she said. 'I have a lot of help. And for that I'm very grateful.'
