Strain: Her glamorous hair and make-up couldn't disguise the drawn appearance around Coleen's eyes


She ensured she was styled to perfection as the face of brand Littlewoods.
But no amount of professional hair and make-up can disguise the strain Coleen Rooney is under.

The WAG was in London today to launch her Spring/Summer collection for Littlewoods at Claridges hotel today.

The 24-year-old was dressed in a chic little black dress by the label, which had bead detailing around the neckline and a understated puffball hem.

She teamed the elegant dress with black platform heels and a perfectly coiffed ponytail.

But even the added height from the heels and volumised hair wasn't able to bring the diminutive Merseyside girl up to level with her leggy models.

Perhaps Coleen was happy to be left in the shade on this particular occasion though, as she is still showing the effects of a stressful few months.

Beneath her long fringe, Mrs Rooney's eyes looked far beyond her years with dark circles and frown lines.

Her drawn appearance is unsurprising given what the mother-of-one has been through recently.

Her 'make-or-break' escape with husband Wayne to Dubai last month does not appeared to have reignited the spark between them.

The £30,000 trip was a way for the troubled couple to move past the allegations of Wayne's infidelities while Coleen was pregnant with son Kai.

But since their return from the UAE they have spent little time together.
The £250,000 a week footballer promptly flew out again for a week's rehabilitative training in Portland in the US.

Coleen was seen shopping alone yesterday with one-year-old Kai.

The 25-year-old is back in Manchester this week filming his series Street Striker, but his wife is in London promoting the Littlewoods collection.

Coleen is currently appearing in the company's Christmas advertising campaign.

In her second television appearance for Littlewoods, she is seen searching an enchanted house with immaculately dressed models for presents.

Coleen first filmed a commercial for the home shopping brand earlier this year, as the head of a 'very nice boots camp'.

Since she signed on as the face of the clothing company, Littlewoods have said they sell a pair of jeans every five seconds.
