Good friends: Courteney Cox and her co-star Brian Van Holt were seen filming Cougar Town in Los Angeles today


In the wake of Courteney Cox's split from David Arquette, he accused her of having an 'emotional affair' with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt.

But it appears his inflammatory words haven't affected the relationship between the two actors.

Courteney and her co-star were spotted laughing and joking together as they filmed their show today.

Sat side-by-side on a dock, they enjoyed animated and friendly conversation.

During Arquette's controversial interview with 'shock-jock' Howard Stern, he said he didn't know if Courteney and Van Holt were having an actual affair.

But he added that 'part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she.'

Van Holt plays Courteney's free-spirited ex-husband on the hit ABC sitcom.

Following small roles in shows such as Spin City, Sex and the City and Entourage, landing the role in Cougar Town was Van Holt's big break.

Courteney, 46, and Van Holt have previously been the subject of rumours regarding their friendship.

According to RadarOnline they sparked conversation back in April when Courteney sent her limo home to spend the night on the Cougar Town set with Van Holt.

'The talk on the set was that she and David had an open marriage,' an on-set source told Radar.

Courteney has insisted that she and Arquette, who have a six year old daughter Coco, were not yet getting divorced, but instead were on a trial separation.

The couple will next be seen together onscreen in Scream 4, the latest in the horror film franchise.

They first met making Scream with Courteney playing a TV reporter and Arquette and town sheriff.
