Pinstripe Bowl Cheerleader Preview -- Kansas State v. Syracuse

I'm obviously a Big 12 guy, but I couldn't possibly care any less about this game. Nothing about K-State v. Syracuse excites me. Not even a little bit. I even had friends that went to K-State and I can't muster even a faint interest in this game. Maybe that's because it's being played in Yankee Stadium the day before New Year's Eve. Just sounds freakin' cold to me.

Thursday Night Football Cheerleader Preview -- #7 Nebraska v. Kansas State

Two undefeated teams meet up in Manhattan, KS tonight to get an early jump on the competition for the Big 12 North Division. Honestly, I think both of these teams are overrated. Nebraska is a good squad, but Top 10 in the country? Really? What exactly have they done to earn that ranking? They beat a God-awful Washington team and a bunch of really bad teams. I guess that is a Top 10 resume these days.

And Kansas State is still, somehow, riding the Bill Snyder wave to respect. Daniel Thomas is outstanding, but that's it. There is nothing else on that team that is in any way scary. But I guess having an 80 year old coach that had some good teams 15 years ago is enough to earn respect. Regardless, we're going to find out which one of these teams is a bigger fraud tonight.

NCAA Tourney Sweet 16 Preview -- (2) Kansas State v. (6) Xavier

Who woulda thought a week ago that the only team from the state of Kansas left in the tournament at this point would be K-State? I fully expected the Wildcats to be here, but if either team was going to get knocked out early I didn't expect it to be Kansas. Regardless, the Wildcats are a very dangerous team in this tournament. It wouldn't shock me at all to see them in the championship game. They play defense as well as any team in the country, and when they are shooting well they are damn hard to stop.

NCAA TOURNEY ROUND 1 PREVIEW -- (2) Kansas State v. (15) North Texas

I'm not going to waste much breathe on this game because it's going to be a 30-point blowout. I will mention that for such a small school North Texas has a ton of hot cheerleaders. I guess that's what happens when your school is just north of Dallas.

Game of the Day: Kansas v. Kansas State

This is a huge game anyway. It helps determine bragging rights in the state of Kansas and features 2 very proud fan bases and programs (even if K-State's sense of pride befuddles some). More importantly this time around, Kansas will be #1 in the nation if they can win today. Which is much easier said than done.

Bramlage Coliseum (I refuse to call it the Octagon of Doom!) is a very tough place to play. And you know K-State is going to be absolutely jacked up for this one. But, as much as it pains me to say it, Kansas is a damn good basketball team. The Wildcats are going to have to figure out some way to stop Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich, and that takes more than a loud student section.

My prediction: Kansas is the top team in the country come Monday morning.

Kansas State Upsets #1 Texas

The Wildcats came out last night and pulled off a very hard fought upset of the top team in the land. At times, the game looked more like a football game than a basketball game, but that's kinda how Frank Martin's teams play. They are aggressive, in your face and not scared to bang. Quite frankly, I thought it was an ugly game to watch. Luckily, the K-State cheerleaders are not ugly.

Kansas State Cheerleader Cutie Kayla

Poor little Kayla. Her Wildcats were in the driver's seat until my Tigers showed up on Saturday. This weekend they play Nebraska in a very strange situation. Win they go the Big 12 Championship to represent the Big 12 North. Lose and they aren't even bowl eligible. Very strange. But I'll do my best to keep Kayla happy if they lose Saturday.
