Fiesta Bowl Cheerleader Preview -- Connecticut v. Oklahoma

Earlier we talked about what may be the best BCS bowl game of the season. Now we get to talk about what should undoubtedly be the worst BCS game of the season. No one, and I mean no one, wanted to see UCONN in a BCS bowl game. Unless this is women's hoops (OK, maybe men's hoops too) there is no reason for UCONN to be competing at the highest level of any sport.

That being said, this is Oklahoma we're talking about. The same Oklahoma that got beat by Boise State in this very same stadium just 4 years ago. So that at least gives folks enough pause to think there could be an upset here. But I'm not buying it. For all of his faults, Bob Stoops is not going to lose another embarrassing BCS bowl game. It's just not going to happen.

Week 13 Winners -- Oklahoma

Weekly Winners is our weekly highlights of college football teams that pulled off upsets during the previous weekend. As usual, we will celebrate these upsets with cheerleaders. And maybe a little snarky commentary.

The Bedlam Game was just that and more. The Sooners pulled off the 47-41 upset and forced a 3-way tie at the top of the Big 12 South (with OK State and Texas A&M). Thanks to their higher BCS ranking, Oklahoma will now take on Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship Game this weekend. Depending on which Landry Jones shows up, this could be a blowout either way.

Game of the Day -- #21 Texas v. #8 Oklahoma

There might be other games today that have more star power from a Top 25 angle (like Florida/Alabama or Stanford/Oregon), but the Red River Rivalry is always a monster battle. Plus, this year we can add the completely retarded tweets from OU's Jaz Reynolds to the hatred that defines this game. Regardless of Texas' slip up last week, I think you'd be a fool to count them out of this game before it starts.

Oklahoma Looks Like A Damn Good Team This Year

Sure Florida State was drastically overrated, I still didn't expect OU to just embarrass them last Saturday. And, apparently, Landry Jones did get better over the summer. Damn, I was kinda hoping Oklahoma was going to take a bit of a nose-dive for a few years.

Smoking Hot Oklahoma Cheerleader Throws Balls Into the Crowd

This girl is just silly hot. Her throwing technique could use a little work, but who really gives a crap. Props to the cameraman for such great action shots.

Oklahoma Dominated the First Round of the NFL Draft

3 of the first 4 picks in the NFL Draft were Oklahoma Sooners. Sam Bradford went #1 to St. Louis, Gerald McCoy went #3 to Tampa Bay, and Trent Williams went #4 to Washington. That is pretty damn impressive for a team that struggled so much last year (yes, I know Bradford was hurt).

The Oklahoma cheerleaders are very proud of their boys.

Sun Bowl -- Oklahoma v. Stanford

The Sun Bowl features two teams that had, for most people anyway, very unexpected seasons. Okalhoma returns the Heisman Trophy winner, a sick running back and one of the best defenses in the country. And then proceeds to lay egg after egg. Obviously Sam Bradford was more important to this team than anyone realized.

Stanford, on the other hand, came into the year with a chance to have a pretty good year, but I don't think anyone realistically expected them to play this well. Plus, I guarantee you no one expected Toby Gerhardt to finish 2nd in the Heisman balloting when this season kicked off.

Regardless, here we are. I just don't see Oklahoma pulling this one out. I think they pack it up and get ready for next year.

Week 13 Winners -- Oklahoma

Another disappointing season for a big time program ends with an upset of the hated in-state rival. This game had even bigger implications, though, because this loss almost certainly knocked Okie Lite out of a BCS bowl game. Way to go Sooners, you couldn't get the BCS yourself, but you were good enough to keep OSU out. I guess that's almost the same thing.

Week 8 Winners -- Oklahoma

Oh how the mighty have fallen! Did you ever think you'd see the day when a win by Oklahoma on the road at Kansas would be an upset? It may only be a minor upset, but still. What a difference losing last year's Heisman Trophy winner makes. Oh well, they still have super hot cheerleaders to make it all better.
